Participatory Design Conference of 2018 chaired by Maurizio Teli.

On August 20-24 the Participatory Design Conference of 2018 took place in Hasselt and Genk (Belgium), chaired by Liesbeth Huybrechts (Hasselt University) and Maurizio Teli.

At the conference, Maurizio TeliPeter Lyle and Mariacristina Sciannamblo presented the paper:Institutioning the common: the case of commonfare, which discusses the European-funded project calledCommonfare, aimed at designing a digital platform fostering the emergence of a new economic model in the domain of the institutions of the welfare state.

Additionally, Peter Lyle and Maurizio Teli were among the organizers of a well attended conference workshop “Collaborative Technologies on Strike,” a one day of collaboration among scholars, union members, and activists to discuss the possibilities for a technology design, development, and appropriation that is strategically aligned with the goals of industrial action, organized with the support of the COST Action “From Sharing to Caring: Examining Socio-Technical Aspects of the Collaborative Economy.”
